Meet
Yolanda
I believe healing happens in a safe, supportive space,
and I meet my clients where they are—following their lead
while gently challenging them to grow.

I specialize in helping adults and teens overcome the lingering effects of trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, guilt, and shame. My approach is grounded in compassion and tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
In addition to trauma work, I focus on empowering clients to set and maintain healthy boundaries, especially in complex family relationships. With a commitment to resilience and healing, I aim to help every client transform pain into personal empowerment and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I guide clients through a structured process of healing, allowing them to reframe painful memories and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
As an immigrant and bilingual therapist, I bring a unique perspective to my work, understanding the challenges faced by diverse communities. I am especially passionate about working with first-generation and LGBTQ+ individuals, recognizing the importance of honoring cultural identity and lived experiences.

Background
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in California, with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific University. My approach is warm, client-centered, and creative.
Along with EMDR, I incorporate parts work, sand tray, and expressive art techniques to help clients process emotions in ways that feel natural and meaningful. Whether through words, art, or hands-on techniques, I help clients work through trauma, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels more whole and fulfilling.

Fun Facts About Me
I’m a proud wife to an Army veteran and a mom to two wonderful boys, along with our two dogs and one cat—so life is always an adventure!
When I’m not working, you can find me outside soaking up the fresh air, whether it’s relaxing in my backyard, playing with my pets, or simply enjoying the sunshine.
I also love tending to my houseplants and garden, listening to audiobooks, and relaxing with a good video game. Movie nights, cheering on my football team (Faithful to the Bay!), and spending quality time with family and friends are some of my favorite ways to recharge.
